We have honored many requests over the years for customers who needed an extra handrail for a couple of steps. It's been even more important for us and our friends who are getting older and really need that extra support.
You might think about a special gift for someone who could use a custom handrail. We can build anything you want. There are hundreds of designs for you to consider. We can make something real fancy with lots of personality, or just simple and very economical. The important issue is having the needed support to get down and up a couple of steps without a problem.
We make our railing out of steel. All components are fully welded, and are very strong and sturdy.
Here are some details and costs:
Posts - 1-1/2" or 2" round steel pipe or square tubing.
Handrail - 1-1/2" round steel pipe, or square tubing, or 1"x 2" rectangular tubing, or 3/8"x2" solid bar, or 1/2"x2" molded cap.
Ends - We can use forged volutes, lambs tongues, or rounded corners.
Balusters - 1/2" round bar, 5/8" round pipe or square tubing.
Art - Scrolls, knuckles, cast panels, etc., the art options are endless.
Fabrication features:
We drill "weep" holes for all tubing to drain. This prevents internal corrosion.
Everything structural is 100% welded for maximum strength and durability.
We use electrostatic powder coating for maximum protection. There are many colors and textures available.
Costs:
The standard price range for a railing for two steps is: $120.00 to $350.00.
These costs cover the material - layout, fabrication and welding - sand blasting and powder coating.
There are additional costs for delivery and installation. These costs will vary depending on the location and who does the installation.
We are happy to quote prices for longer or even shorter railings.

Iron Design Ideas
Hello Friends,
I'm just getting started with this blog and learning how to use it properly. You might give me some ideas.
We have been creating a lot of unique iron railings, gates, furniture, landscaping elements and other pieces of metal art. It's been fun. We are working on a few unique wine rack and wine service center designs. These are all one-of-a-kind, custom designs. We have some small designs for three bottles and the largest we have made was for 85 bottles. Our favorite so far was a rack that we made for Mike & Nicole Lucia for their wedding gift in 2009.
We are working on a custom railing for a customer right now that is a vine design. This is the second railing that we have made like this, although they are not a duplicate, just similar.
Please let us know if you have any questions about iron railings, gates or wine racks. We would love the opportunity to build something for you.
Thanks,
Tom & Linda
